Coffee Rubbed Steak


What better way to start the day than with a high protein kick from a coffee rubbed steak? Add a couple eggs, maybe some country potatoes and a hot cup of coffee and you’ll have the gas in your engine to get things done.


Prep Time: 5 Minutes    Cook Time: 6-8 Minutes    Serving Size: 1 Steak


- 1 Wild Steak

- 1t Coffee Grounds

- 1/8t black pepper

- 1/4t garlic powder

- 1/4t onion powder

- 1/4t cayenne

- 1/4t Hawaiian alaea salt

- 1t Butter

- 1 Rosemary sprig


Combined coffee grounds, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne and salt and mix until evenly distributed. Coat your steak in the rub. set a pan to high heat and melt butter. Once melted add the rosemary sprig and cook until it becomes aromatic, about 10 seconds. Add steak to the pan and sear on all sides for 1-2 minutes each side. Turn the heat to medium heat and cook until desired doneness. remove steak from heat and place underneath foil for 10 minutes to allow juices to reconstitute. Serve with eggs, country potatoes, and maybe some toast. Enjoy!
