Smokin Legs

Never eaten frog legs? One of the best methods I have found to cook them is to simply smoke them. They are absolutely delicious and surprise many people with how delicious they truly are. So instead of frying up a batch, try smoking some and taste what hickory can do for them!

Recipe:

Prep time: 5 Minutes Cook time: 4 Hours Serving Size: 3

- 8-12 frog legs

- 1/2t salt - I use alea Hawaiian salt

- Avocado oil to coat

- Hickory wood chips

 

Set smoker to 165-200.

Soak wood chips in water for 15 minutes before use. 

Brush frog legs lightly with oil, apply salt and place in the smoker for 3-4 hours.

Remove frog legs from smoker and heat the smoker or barbeque to the highest temp.

Lightly brush the legs with a little more avocado oil and sear on each side for about 30 seconds to crisp the exterior. Enjoy!
